Choosing the best laptop totally depends on your usage and work. Are you a technical or non-technical student? What academic branch are you in?
High specification laptop
If you want high-end Image processing, if you are a mechanical student and want to design some drawings on AutoCAD for instance or MATLAB, SolidWorks and specific projects that need power and processing speed you will need a powerful laptop, you can’t do all this stuff with a low spec dual-core processor or with 4gb ram. You would at least need 8 gigs of ram, a powerful processor i5 or i7 but that processor must be a minimum of 4 cores and its speed must be minimum of 3ghz if you want a good performance and obviously Also an SSD would be great as it would load your projects 10x faster. These are basically workstation laptops. Plus point is, if you are a gamer then you can play a lot of games on it.look at these high specification laptops
Medium specification laptop
If you are a computer science student then for app development and other software projects a moderately powered one is enough.
An i5 processor with 4gb RAM and moderate Nvidia/AMD graphics will do your work.
If you are a coder you can also go for MacBook, MacBook is best for coders.
Low specification laptop
For general use, if you don’t do any coding or don’t use any heavy image-processing softwares and want to surf the internet and watch some youtube videos then netbooks are best for you.
specifications like i3 processor with 4gb RAM and AMD graphics and a simple HDD will do your work easily.
